Zip Line Over Rio de Janeiro!
We spent the day after the parade sleeping. The next day, we conducted
banana transactions. We import a considerable amount of Brazilian
bananas for our freeze dried operation, and we’re well respected
in the Brazilian banana community. By the way, the worldwide recession
hasn’t put a damper on our sales. We sell more bananas than ever,
since bananas are one of those foods that help your body
get through hard times, or so the Worldwide Banana Council says.
We had a blast taking the zip line over the beautiful city of Rio.
Humans usually zip over one at a time, but since we are
monkeys, Rafi and Lola believed that we should all hang
together for more excitement. ( Did I tell you they are younger than us? )
We agreed, but only if we could hang from the upper part of the zip line, and
they could hang beneath us. They laughed at our timidness,
but we took it all in stride. After all, we live in Portland, Oregon,
and they live in the Brazilian rain forest, so of course they have
more swinging experience! Note that we all brought our pet
parrots along for the ride. Of course they weren’t scared, since
they have wings. All in all, it was fun, though we had to close our eyes a few
times, and I had to tell Ned to hang in there when his arms started getting shaky.
